Kicking up the dust in Deutschland

17th March 2014

Last weekend we were in Germany on a 4 day explore which took in 11 locations with no problems and lots of photo opportunities.

One place on the list was a revisit from last year. This was visited last October accompanied by some overcast, rainy weather which gave the photos a dark touch.

Last weekend was a totally different visit, the sun was out and the weather was great when we visited this place.

The place we visited was an old folks home/hospice in the countryside and was mostly trashed with some nice details and a lot of wheelchairs and medical equipment remained. Part of the place was an atmospheric loft space filled with more of the same but was quite dusty.

On accessing the loft, the weather and the sun combined with the missing windows to give the best light rays I have seen and cannot be compared to anything that can be faked in Photoshop.

The image below was one of my favourite from the visit. There will be more on Flickr in time.

Thanks for reading.
