The cooling tower revisit

July 2013

There are the sites that are the “tourist” ones and those that everyone does but until you’ve done them, then it doesn’t matter how many people have been, accessed, photographed and had fun whilst doing so.

With this in mind, the early morning alarm call didn’t see the members of my party up and out for us to visit a certain place that needed a pre-sunrise access so as an alternative, we headed for a familiar spot that I’ve been to before and the guys wanted to visit.

The sheer scale and the acoustics makes this a grand place to explore and the last time I was here, the centre of this huge tower was covered in snow as February was particularly cold.

So we parked up and headed into the tower. Thankfully no padlock on the door and no one around to spot us so we spent some time here before moving on. As is any revisit, the challenge is to take something different to what you may have done before or may have missed last time.
