One in a series of bokeh images……..the Steam Engine

August 2013.

First time this year I managed to get to the Great Dorset Steam Fair in Blandford Forum, Dorset. Last year I was away during the fair and the year before I was going to the Lake District with the others for a 4 day trip.

A trek this time on my own and I set out early for the 80 mile drive. The drive was part motorway and part country roads so it look a couple of hours.

I spent some time wandering around the 600 acre site and after a while, swapped lenses for the 50mm.

I will write more on the steam fair on another post but this is one of my favourite photos from the day. Still got a lot more to process yet but this one stands out for me. Lots of vivid colour captured on the day and managed to avoid the crowds getting into shot!
