No longer learning

Feb 2013

One of the first stops (and our very last) on our February trip to Belgium was this old, abandoned University with lots of character and a lot of graffiti and broken glass.

The access was simple enough and being laid back, was not a bother considering it was overlooking a busy road, office block and on a roundabout. We entered and spent quite a lot of time climbing stairs as the whole establishment was abandoned but absolutely huge.

There were labs, auditoriums, classrooms and offices to explore. The whole place would take a few days to cover but we spent a lot of time sourcing the prime places and photographing these.

Due to our flight times, we decided to spend our last few hours before returning the car to the airport. The small selection of photos below are some of the shots taken on both visits.

The rest can be found on my Flickr photostream.

'Auditorium' 'Broken' 'Class absent' 'Descent' 'Dunce's chair' 'Learning labs' 'Lecturing' 'Light' 'Pillars of education' 'Projected learning' 'Schools out' 'Seating' 'Stairs' 'We don't need no education'Thanks for looking in.
